Doug Chalmers’ Motion to Dismiss Oxendine Ethics Complaint Covered by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Doug Chalmers, managing member of Chalmers Pak & Burch LLC, was mentioned in an October 27, 2015 Atlanta Journal-Constitution article entitled, “Oxendine moves for dismissal of ethics complaint.”

Chalmers, who represents former Insurance Commissioner John Oxendine, filed a motion asking the state ethics commission to dismiss an amended complaint filed over Oxendine’s 2010 gubernatorial election campaign.

In the article, written by state political journalist James Salzer, Chalmers denies the allegations and criticizes the ethics commission staff because they “unfairly and improperly attempting to try this case in the media and denied Oxendine his due process rights by delaying his original case more than six years.”
