Personal Experience & Biography

Reid LeBeau II is an attorney representing clients throughout the country in matters of Election Law, Campaign Finance, and Indian Law. Reid has represented clients from Presidential Campaigns to City Council election, and everything in between. Reid successfully defended members of the Minnesota Legislature in election law disputes and has multiple appearances before the Minnesota Supreme Court.  Reid has also authored articles and given numerous presentations on Minnesota and federal election law, and notably, the applicability of state and federal election law to Indian tribes.

Reid is an enrolled member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe and grew up in Pierre, South Dakota.  Reid graduated from the University of Minnesota-Morris in 2002 and is a 2005 cum laude graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School.  He is the 2001 Truman Scholar from the State of South Dakota.  

In addition to political law work, Reid is experienced in advising tribes on a variety of state and federal regulatory issues. Reid advises tribes on tribal constitutional and election code issues.  Reid skillfully guided tribal clients through elections during COVID-19.  

For the past 10 years Reid has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota Law and St. Thomas Law schools.  He teaches Indian Law, Campaign Finance and Election Law, and State and Federal Lobbying.
