Chalmers Adams attorney Wesley Jones was recently sworn in to serve as a Commissioner on the North Carolina Rules Review Commission, following his appointment by North Carolina House Speaker Destin Hall.

Chief Judge Chris Dillon of the North Carolina Court of Appeals administered the oath of office.

The Rules Review Commission serves as an important check on state agencies, reviewing proposed rules to ensure regulators stay within the authority granted to them by the General Assembly. The Commission also reviews rules for clarity, necessity, and compliance with state law.

Jones was joined by colleagues from Chalmers, Adams, Backer & Wallen following the swearing-in to celebrate the appointment.
