Chalmers Adams attorney Wesley Jones recently moderated a panel titled “Separation of Powers and Curbing Judicial Activism” at the North Carolina Republican Party Summer Meeting. Wes serves as the North Carolina State Chair of the Republican National Lawyers Association.

The panel featured Justice Trey Allen, Judge Michael Stading, Senator Michael Lee, Senator Amy Galey, and Representative Mike Schietzelt. The discussion focused on the separation of powers, constitutional government, and the importance of maintaining appropriate checks and balances among the branches of government.

Chalmers Adams attorney Christopher Stock, a candidate for North Carolina Senate District 18, also attended the meeting.

The event brought together legal, judicial, and policy leaders from across North Carolina with support from the Republican National Lawyers Association, the North Carolina Republican Party, Christian S. Fraley, and the Judicial Victory Fund.
